Question about an Evo 6.5 I found
I wanted to get your opinion on this.
I was driving past a Japanese importer yesterday and saw what looked to be a Evo 6.5...with a for sale sign. Interested I stopped by and went inside. This is the story I got:
The owner imported the car in 2000 as his own personal vehicle. It is a 2000 Mitsubishi EVO 6.5 Makinen Edition. Soon after he got the vehicle he switched it left hand drive drive using a Mirage and replaced all the VINs and used the Mirage title. So basically it is registered as a Mirage. Well the owner died and his wife wants to sell the vehicle for $20K (still titles as a mirage) it has 20,000 km on it now. The only things wrong with it are a hole in a power steering line and a busted AC compressor (owner was fixing when he died)
What do you all think? What should I check for to make sure it is an Evo 6.5. It sure looked like one.
Thanks

Since the owner is dead , I doubt you can obtain a great deal of history/coversion procedure for this car. Try you best.
BTW, if you want. You can PM me as I can give a some brief info of what might have done to convert the car if you see certain things.
