Evo 8 valvecover leak issue.

So I've been having some issues with valve cover leaks, I can't seem to keep the car from leaking in the spark plug area. I have a catch-can setup on the car with ~3/8 hose from the breather trans side and an adapter fitting replacing the pcv. Its just finishing up break in and has about 900 miles on it. Compression is pretty consistant across the board at 155.

Is there some trick i'm missing to getting those bolts to seal up inside the vc? I've tried oe bolts and seals, and new bolts with flat washers just incase the oe seals/washers were not sealing properly, and nothing has worked so far. Its only on 15psi currently and its almost ready to be turned up if I could just get this leak to stop.

Be more specific---what are you leaking? Air? or Oil? I assume air-- if that's the case there are a bunch of threads covering blow by-- specifically at the VC and how to set up your catch cans. Advise.

Its leaking oil, sorry I was not more specific. From most of the blow-by threads I've read, they seem to have more issues with pushing dipsticks etc vs oil going everywhere.

Did you replace the gaskets?

Yes I used a new oe seal first it broke within 20 miles then used autozone one it lasted 800 miles the current one is my autozone warranty replacement and it's working fine. It seems now it's only one bolt in the coil packs area leaking finally after switching to Allens with standard washers today and it's much better just need to get this last one to seal and hopefully this mess is done.

The screws that hold the VC should have little washers that have a rubber gromment attached to them, maybe make sure that you still have those washers just my .02

Are you sure the VC doesn't have a tiny crack from over tightening one of the bolts? It's very easy to crack if tightened too much.

It has light gasket maker on it. I may have to check for cracks next time though. I have heard a lot that they are prone to it. Thanks for the help everyone
