hi guys
im having probs with my evo 6 turbo hardly building any boost i was getting around 0.2 bar from 3rd gear pull from 3k revs all the way up to 7k revs.i had the system smoke tested and there were no leaks.
the actuator is not moving when reving.would tht only cause overboosting or could it cause it to under boost also ?
any help would be much appreciated

 

The wastegate flapper could be stuck open, but it would be obvious. On my Evo, the arm fell off the flapper lever and basically did what you describe.

 

if there are no exhaust leaks pre-turbo (gaskets), fmic pipes or blow off..then check actuator. if this is ok too then you may need to pull out turbo and inspect it.

 

Could wastegate be stick open without the arm having fallen off.is that possible?

 

how about your WGDC tables in ecuflash? if they are all set to 0 (fir whatever reason) it could cause this
