Cool ETS or AMS T3 manifold???? Which is better?????

Hi fellow members,
I like both ETS and AMS products, but today I got to figure out which one I should buy.
I was just wondering if anyone have any problems with either ones with fitments with AC, powerstreering and a full 2-rows radiator.

Your comment is most needed!!!!!

This is for both the old style AMS T3 manifold and ETS T3 manifold.

ETS have a better wastegate flow than AMS wastegate flow because the ETS manifold have their wastegate pipe running downward flow coming out from the manifold, where as the AMS looks to be running up from the manifold.
I'm looking to use my pte 6466 T3/v-band outlet turbo on the manifold. Hoping it won't be a problem making 750hp+.
Can you also let me know how much hp you are making with how much psi of boost please!

Thanks.

Both are awesome manifold brands, with that being said I would use the ets big runner for the 6466 it will help with your spool up as I imagine you will be running some nice cams. Give us some more info on your build that will help alot.

I will keep everyone updated after my car is done.
I'm running a GSC R2 cam with my 2.4L built.

So you are saying the AMS have a smaller runners than the ETS manifold, correct?
If that's the case, I would definitely go with the ETS mani.

Thanks for the info

Okay, definitely go with the big runner for sure then. I'm not 100% sure on the ams runner size but I do know that ets makes a big runner manifold for sure

If its the older style AMS manifold, you are limited to running a .63 exhaust housing on the turbo. Im running the older style manifold from AMS. I have an htz86 on it with the small .63 exhaust housing. While spoolup is nice for a 35r, I feel like its really trying hard to make my power.

I plan on welding a new flange on the side of the AMS collector next year, and then make a custom o2 housing so I can run the .82 vband exhaust housing.

Hi. Thanks for your info.
Can you post some pictures of your AMS older style manifold so I can tell with AMS manifold is the older style?
I was going to get the AMS manifold that have the 44mm wastegate vband build in with the manifold. But I'm not sure which AMS manifold is that, if it's newer style or older style.

Thank you for your response!🍻🍻🍻🍻👍

That would be the newer style I imagine. Mine is a manifold with no wastegate flanges on it. My wastegate flange comes off the o2 housing.

That is exactly what I did, and I changed the inlet flange to Vband as well.

So is the newer style is much better at spooling up boost and can be reliable for 750hp on my 6466?

The newer style should help keep the velocity up on the exhaust flow which could lead to quicker spool up but there are so many variables. I myself am going to be running a 6466 t4 divided 1.0 a/r on a. Twin scroll topmount. I'm at 2.5liters with s2's right now will probably upgrade to r2's so spool up should be great.

Top mount AMS ?

That sound like a great setup. What is your hp on the s2?
Keep me updated once you put the r2 cams in.

No it's a custom top mount, it made 465whp at 24lbs on the previous setup on a stock head I'm having curt brown work his magic on this one he said with the previous setup on it, it would be around 500whp after the portjob so I'm gonna shoot for 550whp with the 6466 it's on scat hbeams right now so I don't want to push to close to the 600whp

I recommend running an ETS manifold

We have added a second wastegate to our manifolds to help control boost when using a newer technology PTE turbocharger.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding our manifolds.

Thanks,

Michael

Did you guys stop making the single 44mm wastegate vband for your T3 manifold on the Evo 8?

I already have a T3 6466, so if I get the twin wastegate then I would have to buy a twin T3 hotside and also your twin wastegate manifold will not fit a full size radiator and AC compressor on my Evo 8 correct?

I wish you guys can sponsor my Evo, then I would definitely switch my hotside and go with you guys.

🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻👍

ETS Is better, I rolled my car 4 times and hit pure concrete down on the pavement on the downpipe, 3 times , not a single weld broke on the down pipe or manifold. And this was rolling at 80mph. I would seriously only trust ETS after that.
