Yes actually quite a bit i guess. so after installing the turbo and performing a boost leak test and compression test the results were not as i expected.
on the bbk full it was remote tuned on a low boost (22-23 psi) and high boost (29-30). on the low boost it made a 402bhp and on high boost it made 447bhp
so this turbo was remote tuned on a low and high boost as well. on the low boost it was set to 23-22 psi at redline and it made 387bhp and on the high boost (27-26 psi, 25 at redline) it made 437bhp
My tuner at the time was not convinced with the performance of this turbo. the bbk killed this thing although on the high boost it was up 3-4 psi throughout the pull until about 7200ish rpm so the full had an advantage for sure. I still think that this turbo has not reached its potential. So i decided to fine tune it myself.
My tuner (who's opinion i really respect) was concerned that this turbo was experiencing some back pressure making the setup want to knock on or about 6500 rpm and not letting it take timing or more boost. Which i remember battling this with my Full in the past.
so after messing around with the tune i was able to do some adjustments that took away the knock at the 6500 rpm mark and it curbed the knock voltage spikes. i was able to increase boost earlier in the rpm range. And as of now it just hits 29psi then stays at 28 and i still have it at 26 psi at redline. Since the roads here are not flat by any means so I do not totally rely on the VD results but the latest pull in 3rd gear made 433hp and 353tq.
I helped my buddy rebuild his evo 9's motor and now its broken in and ready for a tune which we'll be doing this up coming weekend. he'll get his tuned which is a 2.0LR and my old BBK Full. that car should do really well especially since his tuner is pretty aggressive. after his turn on the dyno is up im throwing mine on there and adjusting the tune as best as i can.

so more to come.

Yes they do rate it as a 5xxhp turbo. most of the cars here running this turbo are currently on built 2.0l and with MOTEC ECU's. They apparently like pushing timing upwards to 20* so that will definitely help with making some power
too bad
i think i'll give my chance to bw efr 7163

I will probably do the same in a couple of years. I'll get this tuned and play around a bit on the stock motor. May even wait a little after rebuilding the motor to see what it will do without having to worry about my bottom end. But I'll probably go the 7163 or 5858 route

And I was hoping for to be close to my old FP Red at 26Psi...

Well it's a different power delivery. At the 26psi mark the car made 437bhp. The tune was really conservative because my car was knock prone at 6500and up. I have adjusted a few things recently and I'm actually going to the dyno tomorrow to see if I can see any improvements.
I'll update this thread with the results

I went to the dyno today and i think it went well. i was able to adjust my tune and saw some gains.
This graph and videos is after we let the car cool down after tweaking the tune.
the graph shows the 2 maps (25psi tapering to 22 and 30 tapering to 27)

30 psi pull

Yes Shell V-Power 99ron
The low boost is track days.
So while the car was on the dyno we noticed the dip around 7200 which seemed to correct itself after I adjusted timing and the car was strapped down a bit more.
Here is that pull

That spike around the 4K mark doesn't show up on road pulls.
After the car was cooled down is when we got 464bhp graph. I'll probably lower the boost just a tad starting around 7k just to stabilize that area more
