boost question....

I have searched for the answer and I know it has been talked about before but I could not find it anywhere.

What is that little restrictor jet inside the hose at the boost solenoid leading to the turbo waste gate do for boost control and what would happen if it was removed?

Sorry for posting something that may have been already posted.

Hi,

It is commonly referred to as the boost "pill".

Hope this helps.

I did it, faster mid-range but with some high boost spikes. I'm going to put it back in along with a EBC.

Yeah i think it controls the waste gate actuator. Taking it out will give you big boost, much like a 3" exhaust from the turbo back, both equal uncontrollable boost.
