Easiest trans to shift at high rpms

I have an evo 9 with a TRE transmission currently and like all cars atleast I believe all cars, its very difficult to shift at high rpms. I was a transmission that will shift like butter even at high rpms because the one I have now is very difficult and I have to push it very hard to get it to go. I was thinking faceplate but this is my daily driver. FYI I'm at 700 hp any help appreciated just need to shift easier it's too hard to actually get the stick into position I'm not being dramatic I have to push and pull as hard as I can't without feeling like I'm going to seriously break something

My TRE trans shifts amazing at as high as 8500. What are you revving your engine to? Have you rule out clutch drag?

good shifting has very little if anything to do with transmission, its all about clutch choice and proper installation of clutch.

Do the test that Jacks say to do.
http://www.jackstransmissions.com/pa...kills-synchros
1. Disable the stationary launch rev limiter
2. With clutch pushed in and car in gear sitting at a stop, bounce it off the rev limiter.

If the car moves, your clutch is dragging, and it's a clutch issue. If the car doesn't move, it points to a trans issue.

Have you asked Jon about his thoughts on it?

I would call him. His answers in emails are usually pretty short. If you get him on the phone, he'll talk to you for 30+ minutes.

Personally i think something is not adjusted right. Alot of the time it is due to clutch drag and/ or having a heavier clutch and flywheel setup that causes high rpm shifting issues. I used the QM clutch in my car and it would "shift like butter" at 9500. Make sure everything is bled and adjusted properly and do the test listed above to see if the clutch is dragging. Good luck.

I do have clutch drag. And yea i believe I have to rebleed my clutch. Imy going to get an exedy triple and rebuild my trans because now I completely have 4th gear lockout no 4th gear at all. It all started with difficult high rpm shifting and the thing is it still shifts like butter in low rpms! Just don't have 4th gear in higher rpms and also every other gear is only tough at high rpms
