gains from intakes? (Speed Density)

Currently running a ETS 3 inch intake on my FP red with a 84mm compressor housing. I love the way it looks but few issues come up. One that air filter is directly behind the radiator fan, so it probably heat soaks from that. Also it touches or almost touches the lower radiator hose, so the pipe gets hot from that. Lastly, would I benefit from upgrading it to a 3.5 inch intake? Loving the way the STM one looks. Right now to see if I can find a solution to the other problems I have, I ordered a special turbo coupler that might allow me to angle my current one better. I'll update the post once I receive that. But here is my setup vs the one I might want from STM
