Water pipe on the back of the head

I am retrofitting a V engine into an 8, I noticed the small pipe that comes out of the left side of the back of the head. On the 5 it has 2 branches, on the 8 its just a single that goes to the throttle body. I was wondering, has anyone ever swapped these before, and if so, what is involved?

Thanks

They changed that pipe along with the thermostat housing and how it hooks to the heater core and TB in each version as they made improvements.
You'll probably need all the matching parts for the 5 pipe and t-stat. You can also block off the throttle body heating depending on your climate and how well your car idles.
