Could to be louder bcuz there are more plates in the rear?? I also have to add I have the Billet aluminum carrier bushings. It always made noise but not this loud.

Yea it usually whines. Also ask them how aggressive they set the backlash on the rear diff. That causes whining too.

If you had the Diff out to put the plates in you should always verify your contact pattern. Do a search on it if you've never done it before. Backlash and heal/toe, contact is very important for longevity of the gears

That is causing the wine. Switch to poly urethane side mounts and it will calm the noise down some. Otherwise, if you want it totally silent, a new ring and pinion set with proper setup will get you there. But if you run solid aluminum mounts, you're always going to have some noise.

Thanks for your responses.

The rear diff always had a wine to it ever since I switched to the billet aluminum carrier bushings. However since I got it rebuilt by rrt it's been louder than ever and don't know why that is? Is it because there's 12 clutch plates in there now and not the oem ones. Maybe Idk... please help...

Sounds like they didn't do the pattern setup correctly when they put it back together. Send it to a shop that knows what they're doing. I recommend TRE.

What is a pattern setup are you guys sure it may not be because of the 12 plates that are now in there?

LOL I love how he keeps asking the same question over and over again because he doesn't like the answers.

Razor answered the question... probably not a gear contact problem, it's cuz your solid mounts. But it's still a good idea to check the pattern. Anytime you replace bearings or carrier Assy it's needs to have the pattern/backlash checked, if you just throw it back together your asking for trouble.

Looks like you have your answer(s), however, you can always give Raif a call and ask him.

As stated more noise is common with such upgrades that you have.

But my question is... Care to comment on how the car behaves drivability wise? Notice a huge difference in handling, oversteer etc?

With the carrier bushing, yes. But the 12 plate upgrade absolutely does not effect gear whine. Gear whine comes from improper setup, or trying to redo the setup on a set of gears that already had a well worn in pattern that wasn't perfect.
