Fixed some boost leaks this weekend that might help it spool a little faster, but rad started leaking so couldn't take it for a drive yet.

but I also found this. Anyone ever have a fp turbo leak at the number plate

Look at the 71hta with the anti surge housing. They don't put a badge on them, the 71-84 is just engraved into the flat spot on the compressor housing

that's what I don't get.
I will check again in a few days make sure it wasn't from the intake and making it look like the turbo

Since everyone is throwing boost plots in here I'll add one...

This was from the first full pull I did after putting on the FP Red turbo. I know the power/torque graph is jacked but the boost plot is accurate. 20 psi just before 3800rpm and ~25psi @ 4k

My engine wasn't the healthiest either. Had low compression test results ~140psi IIRC and poor leakdown results.

MHI FP Red Stock engine except S1 cams, O2 housing back exhaust and a huge FMIC/piping. 3rd gear. This is also wastegate only, EBC was turned off.

Those rivets only go on about 1/8" at the most. Nowhere near going all the way through. There is a nice, thick chunk of casting there. You won't have a leak from that spot.

That's what I thought. Really wasn't worried about it. Got a little soap on it by accident, saw bubbles and was like wtf.

Bubbles from the soap settling or like a stream from leaking air?
It would be REALLY weird to have air coming out of it.

like air leak. Cleaned away and came back. Look to be coming from under the plate but maybe I was getting some air past the coupler on the turbo and making it look like that.

Definitely something going on. Radiator fan, maybe? Shouldn't be air from that coupling while the car is in vacuum.

How do you guys think a green would fare if all I want is about 350whp but want to make it all the way to like 8k? Figure it'll blow much cooler than a stock 8/9 turbo trying to make that power and fall off less towards redline.
