If you're only going to go 93oct, you might make 500 at the top end of a black. Red won

Red #1: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...93-octane.html

Red #2: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...93-octane.html

Black #1:https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ml#post9463965 See the beginning of the thread for the build.

You'll either need to go non-stock frame or E85 (or maybe stroker) to get 500hp on 93.

Sounds like you need to get a black. It might make 500 on 93. Should do it on 100.

red, I think black would be too big for what you have.

If you want to make the power on 93 I'd think the fp black ss would be better.

The SS FP Black on a 2.0 is gonna be super laggy.

Not sure if that's what the OP is gonna want.

Just going to have the issue with TQ if your stock block ect. I made some crazy numbers on a built 2.3 with a black years ago. Just make sure tuner keeps TQ down and you should be good on the red.

360whp is impressive for that setup. What kind of fuel were you on???

500whp on pump gas (depending on what you have as "pump gas") usually will require a Black. But I'm from CA where we only have 91 so your results may vary LOL.

**edit, I see you were looking at the SS versions. From what I've read, the SS Red makes the same power/lag as an MHI Black, so you should be okay. Someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Good luck, dude!

the question is not what power you want but what characteristic of the engine you want..

Black or SS red will be laggy.. on a 2.0 it will work above 4500 and up to 8 something.. of yourse you do not want to rev above 8 on stock engine. Worst thing is it will have bad transient response..
I would put a HKS 7460 KAI on it and leave it at that... it will be more responsive than stock turbo and give you at least 70 hp more than you have now..

Honestly, most people only care about dyno numbers/bragging rights. I run into very few people that care how responsive the car is.

A lot of them end up downsizing later, but that's another topic, entirely.

Also went ahead and got 1100 FIC injectors, Gsc s2 cams with springs and retainers. Should have all installed and tuned within next 3 weeks on 93octane.
