FP SS housing question

I just bought an FP Red with the SS housing and I'm finding that I need grind away some of the AC compressor mounting bracket just in front of the turbo in order to eliminate contact between the housing and the bracket.

Is this normal? Did anyone else have to do this?

I've done several of these and have not had to grind/remove etc anything. . It all depends on your downpipe and if you had to weld FP flange to it. I usually start with the O2 housing loose to where I can position it, sometimes its good to wedge a screw between the bracket and housing. Then mount the fp dp flange on the housing, position dp, tack weld . Next remove for a solid weld.

I do realize that not everyone has access to a welder but its makes this so much more simple because I have no idea what DP FP o2 housing will fit but it isnt any I've ever seen.

You may need to shorter or lengthen the DP to make everything fit properly without grinding on brackets.

Thanks for the information. Wish I had the skills to perform the weld on the DP. I ended up taking an angle grinder and taking off a trivial amount off of the accessory belt/AC bracket.

I also noticed it seems impossible to have the dump tube route to the bottom of the car with a Megan Racing or any other somewhat thicker aftermarket radiator so I cut it in half and routed it through the grill in the middle of the hood. Hopefully it's not miserable to drive because I don't want to have to shell out 800 dollars for a recirculated downpipe.

Still waiting on a replacement MAP sensor to arrive before I can drive the car
