Neither, GTX3576 spools as fast as the 3076 and makes 50whp more.

Eh, that depends on the housing and the ultimate goal of the setup. The 3076 with .63 vband hot side makes for an excellent road course setup.

The 29r is new and relatively untested as far as I can tell.

Thanks for adding this
but How can this be possible? the gtx 3076 have turbin wheel smaller than gtx3576 and shared the same compressor wheel with gtx 3576 how to be spool faster and gives more power

thankyou
I want to get up to 550-600 horsepower and I do not want to lose a lot of spool .so i look at gtx2976 its same Compressor wheel with gtx 3076 and gtx 3576 but have turbine wheel smaller I think it is faster spool but I want information confirming this
my cars is 2.0 l and ready for 700 hp.
note camshaft 270 poncam type r

I made 572hp@wheels max effort riding the choke line with a GTX3576r.

It has to do with blade speed ratio and this is basically a function of compressor wheel size vs. turbine wheel size. The turbine wheel match to compressor wheel size of the 3576 results in a much better blade speed ratio and therefore greatly increases turbine efficiency. The increase in turbine efficiency allows the 3576 to spool up the same as the 3076 even though the GT35 turbine flows more (basically resulting in lower turbine pressure ratio). You can read more about it:

Another way to think of it, you can't just put on smaller and smaller turbines to spool up faster or larger and larger compressor wheels to make more power. Past a point, the mismatch is so bad the turbo performs horribly. There's a reason there are not GT2076s or GT3094s made (as extreme examples).

If you want spool and response at that power level, i suggest doing a stroker motor with something like a efr 7670

Or a MHI red/MHI black could get you there with decent spool

thank you for this useful information
you changed my way of thinking
i want to ask you about turbo make full boost around 4000-4200 in the 2.0 l and gives 550 hp- 600 hp on the engine .

I am grateful to you for all the valuable information ^_^

That number was with the top mount v-band TS manifold. Just search my posts, but I believe with the short runner manifold and 1.01a/r T4 TS I was getting 30psi in 3rd gear in the 4K range.
