big turbo

Hey guys so ive been toying with the idea of going with a bigger turbo on my stock block. I searched around the forums and internet for some of the supporting mods i will need but am not convinced on some stuff. Hoping you guys can steer me the right way here. Its an evo 8 with an evo 9 turbo, ets 4" ic, tial bov, sd, bc cams,255 walbro, etc. Heres what i think ill need up to now:

Turbo kit with 6262 bb
wastegate ( tial 38 or 44mm ?)
walbro 450 fuel pump
arp head studs
fuel pressure regulator ( most affordable one that will work ?)
injectors ( no idea...something affordable and not stupid big...would like it to be driveable)
feed and drain lines

Let me know what else you guys can think of and help choosing parts. I would like 500whp or as safe as we can get to it. Idk if i want to go e85 yet so it may stay at whatever it makes on 93 but would like to build for e85 if possible. I would also like to think about if i ever build the motor making 600whp one day. Idk guys would like to hear your ideas and experiences. Thank you!...

Why not get the FP black or possibly red? If you go E85 it would be a great turbo, however if you only go pump they will not reach those numbers and you'll need a bigger turbo and remember bigger = more lag such as the 6266 so I suggest E85 unless there is none within an hour radius of you.

Well, talking to my tuner he said the best for stock block is a turbo like the 6262 because it helps to keep tq down. Also for the future it can make power if I ever build the engine. Also, I want ball bearing and a ball bearing Black is like 2 gs. I figured for a bit more I can get a used kit and 6262. Also I know the owner of boost lab which is close to me and talking to him he said the fp turbos suck to rebuild. Idk...but what do you guys recommend on parts like injectors etc?

Good tuning keeps the torque, it has nothing to do with the turbo. If your tuner requires you to have a laggy setup to keep the stock motor alive, you should consider a new tuner.

THIS.

As far as other parts. Youd want some decent injector size 1450 and up.

Probably wouldnt hurt to run a double pumper set up.

double pumper for stock block to make whatever it can safely on 93? that seems like alot...i thought one walbro 450 was enough...i know im going to get alot of **** for this but why is everything now e85? back in the days i had a sentra making 500whp that lasted forever and a civic making 600whp and all on 93...it almost seems like now with e85 tuners have gotten lazy since its easier to make power with it i guess and maybe doesnt require as much "fine" tuning.

e85 is cheap and more resistant to knock.

More timing more boost

I get it but it just seems nowadays it’s a big no no when back in the days it was the norm. Maybe it was my tuner idk. But yeah let’s see I’m thibking about it.

Who the **** said it was a big no no?? We have flex fuel options for our cars now. It REALLY sounds like you need to pick a new tuner.

Those cars were also 2wd. If you want 600 on pump its gonna be a big *** turbo, or well built(as in fully) setup. Either way hunting for 6 on pump is gonna be rather risky.

That's why you see e85 numbers all the time. The fuel costs over a dollar less, will make more power, and is 10x safer for the motor.

6266, big single or double pumper for more down the road, 1000cc or bigger injectors, cams, mild head work, studs. I run aquamist methanol for a little added knock suppression but some are really against meth. All depends exactly what you want to do with the car. I street mine and it runs like a top.

yeah pricing stuff out...I’m thibking fic 1650? I’ve seen what e85 can do to a motor. I’ve seen an srt4 motor be taken apart and the cams and head components were all rusted.
