if leakdown #'s are good, thats a positive thing.

how many revolutions did you let the engine turn over to achieve your compression test #'s?
Aby,

I wasn't there so I am unaware of the specifics. I figured if the leakdown #'s are good, then it can't be that bad. Perhaps they didn't turn it over enough times to let the gauge read the peak numbers. I figured, worst case I may have to do a little rebuilding.

I'd suggest there should be a big difference in price between the one situation and the other.

If you get a good-enough deal on the car and have the time/money to do so, then definitely no reason not to buy. Projects are (almost ) always fun.

**Update**
I ended up buying the car on the hopes and dreams of good luck. It paid off. I reaccomplished the compression test and the results when done properly were completely different and much better. Cyl #1: 155, #2: 152, #3: 150, and #4: 150. Thank you for everybody's input and assistance!
