AEM water/meth kit...need advise!

since the fuel is very crap where i live and my hp goals are above what 93 oct i have here can handle, im thinking about meth injection so i can safely make around 600 hp and not be limited by engine knock.
what i wanted to know first of all is meth injection worth it? are there any issues with injecting meth and secondly i have the AEM meth kit, is that a good and reliable kit? and lastly, do i need the AEM failsafe gauge which is not provided in the kit or i am just fine without it?

i have a 2.1L engine and im just limited to 28 psi and very low timing and AFR ratio because then it starts knocking due to crap fuel, when i built the engine i had atleast 600 to the wheels in my, i didnt know fuel would be a limiting factor.

im not from the united states, in my country you cant import race fuel or have ethanol based fuel, its just pump gas.
my only option is meth injection, like i said befor do i just install the AEM kit or i need the failsafe device which is sold seprate?

If you run methanol, have a reliable way to measure and mix the water/ethanol mix. And, ABOVE ALL, have a fail-safe system in place. I had a leak in my reservoir that cost me a $3,000 engine. It only took one data log run to cause detonation and break the ring lands. Since then, I'd never consider using it, but that's just me. Good luck either way, brotha!

Did you have a failsafe that didn't respond quickly enough?

The kit had been on the car for a few days and I hadn't had a chance to install anything. We were getting the car tuned and *poof*. I haven't and will not touch a methanol kit since. I'd rather suffer with pump gas.

For me, adding power is okay if the risk is acceptable. I have a high threshold of what I consider "acceptable". Methanol kits aren't worth it, for me.

Aem

Theres an indicator for aem kit if its running low. Im using 1 at 70/30 meth/water mixture You may push for higher boost. But only with mechanic and tuner that are familiar with methanol. I was pushing 700whp with 40psi with no issues.
