Evo 9 hard start cold, no start hot

it will start wothout WOT, but it just starts a little easier when i do. I dont smell any fuel. Maybe a can have someone crank while im sniffing the engine bay haha

if engine bay, then you shouldn't be there (risk of explosion). It should be coming out of muffler. Lol

Haha lets hope not. I am also going to run a compression test completely cold and than hot.

If it starts easier with the TB open, then it may not be getting enough air at startup. Are you certain your IACV and BISS are adjusted right? Do you have a way to log the steps for the IACV?

If he's smelling gas in engine bay, then fuel line is leaking somewhere. And plenty of electrical stuff around that sparks (like relays). Run?

I am not smelling any gas and a couple days ago i inspected all the engine bay fuel lines. Its just something he suggested checking. I didnt touch any iacv stuff, one of my buddies must have. But with no starting issues before any work was done i dont think it just failed. But hey, thats what parts do huh. Will a Snap-on Modus scanner work?

yeah i had everything resurfaced. Was not that bad though. The exhaust flanges and surfaces were more warped haha
