Transmission question/issue

I think I know the answer but thought I would post. I have an Evo IX MR. I still have the 6spd. It has been rebuilt. Just recently i have been having a really hard time getting into gear. Reverse is the hardest but I have issues in almost all gears. Gets worse as it heats up. I don't drive the car much so it sat all winter. I thought maybe the Clutch master cylinder was bad so I replaced both that and brake master cylinder. I flushed the fluid and bled the entire system. No air in the system at all. The issue didn't improve. I then did a trans fluid change. Fluid looked great no metal at all. The situation didn't imporove. I checked all the cables and bushings everything looks in tact. I have a Twin Disk in the car with about 10k miles on it. I don't launch or track the car. Was trying to avoid pulling the trans but I think that is my only next step unless I am missing something. The slave looks fine as well no leaks or anything. Just feels like the trans is having a really hard time engaging. Hence the post so if anyone has any other thoughts all ears or am I just avoiding the inevitable and should just pull the trans.

Get to your slave cylinder and press the piston in as hard as you can. Does piston slowly retract inside slave cylinder? If it does retract, try double or triple pumping clutch before putting in gear.

I did try this. I have the adjustment all the way out. Can't increase the travel any further at this point. I will double check to make sure wish it was this simple.

I will test that out. I have not tested the slave. I will see if pumping the pedal helps at all with engagement.

it won't help if your master cylinder is adjusted beyond the relief spot where slave piston is supposed to retract when you push. This point allows slave cylinder to stay partially extended (AKA self adjusting) so when you press clutch pedal, it starts extendfrom that point. If it is hard and doesn't retract, no matter how often you pump the pedal, it keeps going all the way back and forth and won't make any difference. The video explains it better.

Twin disk clutches are prone to warping. I suggest pulling the transmission.

what causes warping? Hard launches? I have 700 miles on my Exedy.

I had clutch drag when Exedy was first installed. I adjusted for max throw by following video about 100 miles into breakin and clutch drag went away.
