Beginning of the evil transfer case whine?
Hey everyone,
So about 2 weeks ago, I drove my car pretty aggressive for about 20ish minutes and the next day when I drove the car to school, I noticed the whine. Since then it's been gradually getting louder. You can mainly hear it when you are on very light throttle from 3rd to 6th gear. Is this the beginning of the transfer case death whine?

I had this happen in my 9. Thought it was a wheel bearing I found bad. Changed it and noise was still there. Changed all fluids at one point thinking it would help. Didn't. Finally did the swap from ACD to non-acd and the noise is gone. So I'm 99.99% positive my T-Case was on its last leg. Drove it like this for least 4 years though. Luckily it never went out on me. I would have a whine from about 45mph+.
