Questions about rocker arms

So I am rebuilding my head and was looking and I seem to have found rocker arms much cheaper that are cast iron that seem to be from a dsm or something and they say it is stronger than the stamped steel ones that come on the evo. Is that true? Or should I just buy the way more expensive evo 8 ones. Had anybody ran into this before. I googled it but found nothing

Same rockers on a DSM as on an Evo.

I'm not sure if I get it. I get the price difference. But sometimes OEM is really just over priced. I'm trying. To find out if these suck or are worth the money or a waste of time

I saw the bang4buck the other day and had to post it up. In this case too cheap to be any good. It temps me try one though. I wonder if they sell a bang4buck ECU when this gizmo fries mine.

OEM is always overpriced but always works. I do know that cast iron is not stronger than steel. To make the part as strong as steel it would weigh more than a steel part and weight is not something you want in a reciprocating part.

When buying moving engine parts, maybe OEM isn't always necessary but stick to proven brand name companies.

"reconditioned" rockers? No thanks. The ad has typos, bad grammar and spelling.. I expect more from a vendor LOL. And I don't see how a rocker can be "upgraded". It's not an item that fails because it's not good enough.
Sounds like a bunch of fluff to me.

Not sure I'd wanna skimp on something this important, either. I dunno, man...

When I was building my head, I went with cast rockers arms instead of stamped ones. They are lighter and dont brake, as far as what I been reading on DSM forums. You can buy 2004 Kia Optima rocker arms. They are the same and cheaper.
