Intake Manifold Torque Specs

Does anyone have a clearer scan of the evo 9 intake manifold torque specs? I was only able to find this blurry version.

I saw the write-up but no schematic of intake manifold (I saw exhaust manifold though). I'm unclear on some of the description like "Stay Bolt".

Thanks Joe! Why did they call that mounting/support bracket "Stay"? That wasn't intuitive. My 10 yr old son could have came up with a better name!

Just a manufacturers term for a support bracket. Funny the terms that OEM's come up with!

We have our own terms, in what I do for work, that are hard to understand the reasoning behind it

Heres a pic of a "Stay"

Do not reinstall the mounting bracket/stay. You'll thank yourself if you ever need to pull the manifold again with the motor in the car...lol

Oh crap. I thought "stay" was the longer intake bolt with alternator mount. Guess I'll loosen that and torque that to the normal intake manifold 15 ft-lbs.

These scans should be added to the "Official Torque Specs" thread. I would be a day farther along in my engine assembly.

And a scan of the torque spec for MIVEC 22mm bolt with oil filter and banjo would be nice too.

Guess I'm the only one who doesn't know what a "stay" is.

You can also think of it as weight reduction

In all seriousness though, it's really not needed.

Whole engine will come out again once my spare engine is built. If I don't reintall it, the bolts will definitely get lost.
Permanent weight reduction?
