Speed sensor issue after trans install

Just swapped the clutch and buschur stage 2 transmission on my Evo 8. Got code P0500 (speed sensor). The transmission I bought from buschur already had a speed sensor so we swapped in the one from my old trans and the same code came up even after we cleared it. Speedometer doesn’t work and the miles on the odometer don’t go up. I tested for power, the sensor has 3 wires that hook to it. The White has power, nothing at blue or purple. I also tested right where the connector hooks to the speed sensor and had the same results. Anyone have any ideas?

It worked before. I'd look at wiring any place you or whoever did the work could have possibly been. I know the speed sensor wiring goes above the transmission behind the engine because I have my cruise connected there.

One wire is power, other is ground, one is signal (only has power when sensor is spinning). Spin the sensor, IIRC you can chuck the excess shaft into a drill. IF you get signal, peak in the hol ein trans, make sure the speedo gear is on the center diff.
