272 cam stalling issues

Just wondering how many of you guys are having trouble with your hks 272's stalling out. My car seems to stall more often than i thought it should when stopping for a light or pulling in a driveway. Thanks

I don't have a complete 272 setup...I have the 264i and 272e setup...I don't have any issues with that....but I have heard of a few people having stalling issues. You will no doubt get the answers your looking for here.

I have the straight 272's and my car never stalls.....unless i rev it up like I am about to go and then quickly depress the clutch again. Under normal driving and stopping and going everything is fine.

I also have 272's and it seems like it's going to stall but picks back up again. I have never stalled but it comes close very now and then. Very loopy idle but I dig it. For how long let's see.

I'm using the S-AFC to tune, need the Buschur Flash badly.

Stvbreal,

Did mark install yours at Quantum? I will probably have to take it back to him to tune it better again. Mine will drop to around 900 rpm then eventually go to around 500 rpm then stall.

Yeah, those guys intalled them. Did a great job. Quick too.

I am thinking about getting new plugs, wires, and MSD Ignintion. Try to get more of a spark. I am also thinking about palying around witht the throttle cable, tighten it a bit to make it idle higher. Now it idels around 800-900 every once in a while it jumps to 1,100 then back down.

264/272's here. My idle is like this: usually lumpy @ about around 900 rpm but occasionally jumps to around 1200-1300 rpm then settles right back down to 900 rpm. Idle will very rarely drop a lil but never stall. It has come close to stalling when I hit the brakes then clutch at the wrong time but that is very rare and like I said it has never stalled.

i dont know if it is the weather or what, but my idle is pretty erratic...its kinda getting annoying, almost seems like its shaking the engine/exhaust too much. sometimes it holds steady but other times it likes to drop to 400rpm and i hate that sh*t. sounds pretty bad. the car runs amazing but the idle pisses me off. i have to fix this and i want to know the best way. i dont know if the humidity has a big effect on it, but who knows the best way to resolve the idleing issues without turning up the idle. i already have ground wires...i know this has been covered a bunch but i havent found the answer im looking for. i think HKS has an idle control...who has a remedy!?!
