Manley H Tuff rods on 2.3 and JE 270666 opstons

I decided to change my rods because H tuff seem lighter called Manley and they told me they will hold 900 whp but we know the name of the game with evo rods is tq...

Any have experience with these?

They are 630 grams vs 680 for I beam

Wanted to use a callies or skunk but feel manley is more proven.

Also with the pistons I went with JE 270666 before I had regular sport compacy weisco k596m85ap was that an upgrade or down grade?

My personal preference for 2.3 4G63 is I beam rods because it is beefy and can take abuse. Since a 2.3 doesn't rev very high, the extra 50g isn't a deal breaker. Now if I was going with 2.0 or 2.1, then I would get the lightest rods I can afford to have the higher rev limit.

If you're taking all the time to tear the motor down you shouldn't be down grading connecting rods to something not as strong.

Move to a Carrillo Pro-H Rod or just leave the Manley Ibeams in it.

I would get a strutted piston like the Wiseco HD's, or the ones JE or CP offers.

Not really. It's full round piston. I don't build engines with those.
