FP Black/Zero...Is it worth to buy new?

I'm looking to start saving up for a new turbo kit. I've been thinking about the FP black/zero BB(new) or ETS PTE 6466. I don't have a power goal but I would like to get into low 10's and if possible very very high 9's for 1/4mile. The car will have drag tires and supporting mods.

Comparing pricing:

FP
  • FP Black/Zero BB : $2600
  • FP Manifold: $600(Porting, coating, and hardware kit)
  • MV-S Wastegate: $305
  • STM FP SS Downpipe: $600
    • Total: $4105
ETS:
  • Complete single scroll kit w/ 6466 BB: $4880

Is it even worth buying a new FP black/zero kit over the a 6466 kit? or hunting down a used BB black/zero?

I have a client with a 2.2 motor with buschur 272's and ported stock intake manifold that went from a Zero to the ETS twin scroll kit with a 6466, it went from 690whp @43 psi to 750whp at 41psi and less timing on an otherwise identical setup it also made more torque. It also spools a couple hundred rpm faster with the 6446, it makes 400wtq at ~4600rpm instead of closer to 5000. 100% go with the turbo kit.

I'd skip FP manifold on their SS turbos. Tubular is way to go to get better flow angles. But when you add up the cost for FP, I'd just skip to 6466 at this point.

Gotcha, good info Thanks!

I should've added:

Also, you could probably shop around and get a ~5% discount on the ETS setup. Just FYI.

Being a 2.0L, you'll see spool up 500ish rpm's later than a 2.2. But you'll still get the 6466 spooled sooner and make more power.

And you couldn't be more wrong. Twin scroll is master race if an appropriate A/R housing is available.

I'd also recommend a twin scroll ETS kit for street/track duty. Its going to come up a bit sooner and still make good power.

There is no T3 twinscroll for the 6466. It's T4 divided only, but that's what you need so you're good to go.

Do you have links for 2.0 on 6466 T3 and T4 twin scroll with your appropriate A/R? It doesn't sound right logically that a T4 will spool better and make more up top over T3. I dont want to bore everyone with my logical inexperienced engineering thinking. Basically, twin scroll sacrifices top end for better spool up, but with this huge turbo, I don't see any benefit of using 1.0 liters to point flows to help with spool.
