Need help, car jerky/buck when off the gas, video uploaded

Took some pictures of the places which I think may relate the issue.

Here is the video of this issue, recorded car is slowly around 20-30km/h and 2000-3000rpm.As shown on the video, the engine hops back and forth few times when on/off the gas. Off the gas definitely feels more notisable.

Hey guys, really need some help. Not sure what I should do next.

Own my Evo 9 for couple of years now. The issue was there since I bought it: "car jerky/buck when off the gas", especially @ at low RPM. It's less noticeable over 4000 RPM. And it happens in evey gear. If push the clutch in, doesnt happen at all. And if I lift the foot very very slow it may minimise it. The feeling is like, when take off the clutch too quick that car hops back and forth few times.

Car just been tuned by evo mechanic @21 PSI with stock Ecu. No improvement after tune. And he guess it could be worn transfer case but not sure. And I don't really want rebuild the T Case as going to spend few thousands and only maybe get the issue fixed.

And I just did the replacement of Centre shaft bearing as the old one is pretty bad but no improvement at all.

Few factors may related:
-Clucth has been replaced about 10,000km by last owner.
-Car has minor whine from rear end when over 80km/h, doesnt louder when go faster.
-Mods are ARC intake, custom made trubo back, ETS intercooler. The rest is pretty much stock.
-some owner or mechanic recom this is normal for evo. However I had evo 8, 5-6 years ago, don't think that had this issue at all

Planing doing engine mounts for the next but the engine vibration looks OK. And apart from the rear mount which I can't see, the rest mount visually look OK.

Please give some advices, what I should do next. Much appreciated.

Hey Tim. Welcome aboard the boards

Yeah, Not quite sure what to make of this bucking issue? Have you run an ECU log? Seeing all those parameters may give us a hint to the problem

Thanks Joe. Never done that before. Evo scan, is that the software I should get?

It feels more like the tran, t case or mounting related. Does ecu log able to tell those too?

Tim

Heres one our Sticky threads on logging
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...questions.html

Ive never gotten into logging on my own. Logging wont reveal any ACD or trans issues

Sounds like a good visual of the motor & trans mounts might be in order if youre suspecting that.

We have plenty of members who do their own logging & have tagged one of our most helpful chaps @2006EvoIXer

Mine (EVOX) does the same thing its in the tune and can be removed but it really makes me feel the car is tight..
Sorry to jump on and ask on your thread but My 2011 has been making a whine sound or a low horn sound only when starting and starter engaged, today it kept making that sound for about 3-4 seconds after start up or letting go of the ignition (running)switch. Anyone have this happen, common mechanical thinking is the turbos starting the seize. Let me Know guys time to look at a MHI 18k, the 7163.

Take a quick look at the ignition map. I fixed my raging bull in 1st gear because my timing at 1100 was like 10° and the next line of 1500rpm was like 22°. I just smoothed it out to 2000rpm and then left rest alone. Idle became smooth (no more lope) and qst gear was much more manageable. Not sure if your evo is having the same problem where ecu is hunting for the ignition timing or if it is something else. You don't need evoscan to look at your tune. I use it to log my runs to see what ecu is doing.

Did you mean this happens after you get the car tuned?

Here is the video of this issue:

As shown on the video, the engine hops back and forth few times when on/off the gas. Off the gas definitely feels more notisable. If its air or fuel ratio, should the issue also heppneds at neutral? But mine at neutral or clutch disengage, doesnt do this at all.

Yes Tim I'm pretty sure (for me) it is in the tune because before i converted to E-85 and went directly for a tune that wasnt there. Now It is but its not bad its like a stutter effect. Since then i have only had a clutch change and get chatter from that. That's more of an issue for me worried about it taking out the trans case or rear end but I do feel ya, everything you add you get more issues.

Do you have a way to look at tune? I would check ignition table.

How about horse power chat? Is that going to help?

My car does this too, I figured it was the mounts, clutch, or trans failing.
