Oil in spark plug chamber.

Hi, probably noob question. I have alot of oil in my spark plug chamber and I'm wondering what the issue is. Any help is appreciated

im not sure how it got up on top... but typically its the valve cover gaskets.
or maybe you have a cracked valve cover

pull off. Clean up. inspect really good.
if valve cover ok, put on all new gaskets and reinstall

It’s the spark plug hole seal. I I had one fall out on me while setting timing on my 2.4. It completely flooded the valve cover and caused the car to stall before I could drive away thank god!

Be sure to soak up as much as possible with paper towels before removing plugs, then remove them and clean again before installing new plugs.

no I’m talking about the round gasket that goes between the head and valve cover. There are 4 of them one for each spark plug hole. Hi
