See attached video.
After additional thought I don't think my statement is accurate because it would then never be possible to pull vacuum on the block with just the PCV, which is clearly not the case. I suspect you are just feeling a pressure pulsing from the open port due to displacement of air caused by the piston motion. This is despite the intake manifold PCV pulling vacuum on the other valve cover vent. With the car running just plug the side vent with your finger for 30 seconds and see if the intake manifold PCV is able to then pull a vacuum on the block.

So just a slight amount of vacuum? In the pm I discussed how the pcv valve flows like crap when just horizontal because the plunger does not full release despite the spring pushing it back. I found that it needs to be angled down so gravity forces the plunger to slide all the way back, which is more than just the spring by itself. Based on my stock pcv valve this substantially affected flow through the valve.

I unscrewed the 90deg part of my pcv valve and adapted just the valve portion to the end of a -10an cap. Kind of hard to see, but in the pic is the outlet of the pcv valve angled down.

I'd est about 2.5 psi vac. Will take a closer look at the pcv angle. I understand what you're saying. It looked like you used an OEM type pcv valve on the smog pump. Is that a better functioning piece ?

Also, pull the PCV valve and spray it out with carb cleaner to make sure everything slides around freely. For the intake manifold PCV you only need to run the stock valve and a 5/16" hose. Regarding the check valve on the catch can after the secondary air injection pump, it is a piece I got from NAPA that is 3/4" hose barb on one side and 1/2" NPT female on the other side. I'll check my old thread to see if I detailed the part number. (checked....did not say)

This is the inlet tube PCV. Interesting is the idle trims are off with this line hooked up. 3%..
