Heavier Spring or a 4 port?

I'm running a 3 port grimspeed ebc on a tial v44 (like pretty much everyone else around here), I made 510whp on an MD with a s257sxe @ 30psi. I'm not 100% sure what spring is in the v44 but If it was able to hit 30 psi I'm gonna say its at least a 14.5lb spring. Now I'm running a super 94 and shooting for 900whp. Should I get a 23lb spring setup or just run a 4 port? Also which 4 port do you guys recommend if so?

depends on what your boost target is?

i think i have 25 lb springs running 40psi running a 3 port no issues

Well I can’t say for sure yet. I just know it will be 5 bar or higher. From what I’ve gathered a super94 will make 900whp on a jet around 45-50 psi depending on the setup.

This is a serious question for your tuner.

4 port allows a massive dynamic boost control range when the wastegate and plumbing is set up properly.

3 port can achieve some range but your boost control can be effected by engine back pressure to a larger degree.

The amount of difference between emap and imap is a good way to help tune your general settings. Some baselines are required

Well I don't have a tuner so I'm pretty much out in the cold here. But if you're saying that back pressure will be reduced by running a 4 port over a 3. That's all I needed to hear.

no back pressure isnt reduced. It just allows boost to be applied to the top port specifically without a T going to the lower port, or using it inline as a blocker solenoid to the bottom port only.

Yes I’m aware of how a 3 and 4 port work mechanically. Hence why I said a believe I had at least a 14.5lb spring when I ran 30 psi on my old setup. I’m just trying see out of the two options I can go with, which would be best.
