Grabbed an VIII a few months back and am now starting to dig into it. Been spending most of my time going over everything and making sure the car is healthy. Rebuilt Title but the previous owner was extremely transparent. I’ve got some cash burning a hole in my pocket and am ready to start ordering go fast bits. The car is currently street tuned on 93oct with a stock turbo, upgraded springs and retainers and cams but needs more power. I’m used to the tried and true ETS 6266 Setup from back in my DSM/Evo X days but is there anything else I should be looking at? Would go EFR but Boostin doesn’t like dealing with them for whatever reason. Thanks in advance.
Sounds like the 4G63 is the OEM stock build? If so, consider the stock frames from FP (HTA71, Green or maybe the Red)
I run the HTA71 on my stock OEM build
Thanks! Was considering an FP Black but I’d like to leave room for growth. Plus, I can make good power with less boost on a 6266 or something comparable.
The new Garret G-Series turbos are pretty awesome. The g25-660 is a great <550whp turbo, and the G30-770 would be the go to if you plan to build the motor and want to make 600-650.

The exact reason I figured I’d post a question. I came across the Quick Spool kit while surfing ETS’ site and it caught my attention. Realistically I’ll be fine with 500whp to start. Still need to have some bodywork done before a respray or wrap and then start tweaking the suspension to my liking. Car was a track car before being sold. Once everything is to my liking I can start saving for a build and up the boost for more power.
Haha. Yeah, i tend to air on the side of being conservative. When i was younger & with a thinner wallet i would likely be tempted to max out on a OE build.
Would rather spend more, up front, on a proper build & do something like Tim (Abacus) did. Totally satisfied w/my HTA71 & 460 DJ Whp

Tim's car ran a bit over 500whp and then made 650whp on the stock engine before pulling it for the 2.2.
