So anytime I fill my car above half a tank, it leaks fuel. I filled it up one time varely above half to see where it was coming from and it seems like there some sending unit/lines attached to the bottom of the tank and thats where its leaking from. I havent taken it apart yet and was wondering if anyone knows what gasket is there?

 

remove the bottom part of your back seat and the two inspection covers. Look to see if its wet around the seal on either side of the top of the tank.

 

So I was able to get with the previous owner and he says its coming from the top. He ordered the wrong fuel pump so it leaks. Going to swap fuel pumps this weekend and see if it works. Since I have it out I was going to seal it up. I was wanting your guys opinion on either Teflon tape or a paste type sealer?
