Transfer Case Rebuild - Is that right?

I just got my bad TC back from a local shop so that I can ship it to ShepTans for a rebuild and this is what it looks like. I'm confused as I have been looking at photos of 05 w/ACD TC's and they don't look like mine. They don't have that shaft coming out the side of the ACD and that cup looking thing coming out the back is missing on mine and I have a long shaft attached instead. Am I good just sending this to Shep for the rebuild "as-is" or is this wrong? Should something else be removed now and added back with the rebuilt TC and does that require special tools? I'm also emailing Shep but I could really use everyone's help here as I need to know this because my local shop doesn't. I have the 05 Service Manual but its frustrating as it doesn't have any breakdown of the transfer case, only the attached photos.

This is getting really depressing as I just want my car back on the road but I don't know anything about drivetrains, no shops in AR have any knowledge about my car and I have to get this TC to Shep ASAP as they have long delays.
Making for a depressing Christmas.

Who removed the T-case? Pretty sure you have a normal ACD case like you want. Its just that the intermediate shaft was put back in and the tail stock cover piece was not re-attached after the t-case was removed.

All that said, pretty sure you could just sent to shep as is.

Thanks for the quick reply. The manager of the transmission shop is what helped me load it but he didn't know about the shaft sticking out the side (facing up in my photo)...I presume this is the intermediate shaft you are referring to? If that is to be removed, how is that done?

When I asked him he thought the ACD cover would have to come off to get it out which doesn’t sound right.

Got it out with a slide hammer and 8mm bolt rig.

Does anyone know if a particular oil should be used on the shaft before I re-insert it when I get the TC back? Should I just coat it with the typical DiaQueen GL5 oil or should a grease be used on the teeth?
Thx

send it TRE. I sent 1 to TRE and 1 to Shep and TRE came back faster and a better product. Shep has a bigger backlog it seems. you need to send with the tail stock or make sure you get the new seals
I also remove the tail stock removing and installing the TC

THANKS for the heads up on that!!! I was wondering if it was missing something. Going to go pick it up from the transmission place.

What is the website to TRE? I have seen that reference before but I thought I checked with everyone I could find and Shep was the least length of response time at 6 weeks delay.

I've read that Shep won't prioritize evos as if you were calling with a GTR. What about Jack's?

They got something against the Evo's or just like GTR's more?

Jacks said they didn't have ring and pinion in stock and they have been backordered all year so I didn't bother even asking how long it would be with them.

like i said, no chitchat. just get in queue.
Mitsu ring&pinion is unobtainable at this time so you need to get the upgraded R&P from TRE or Shep
