Wastegate hood dump left with water in it.

I haven’t driven my Evo in months due to not being around much. We have someone who takes care of the house and washes the cars and such. I’ve discovered that every few weeks he sprays the entire car with water, including the hood/hood vent that has the dump sticking out. This water would stay inside obviously since the car wasn’t running and I guess would dry up inside. My question is should I be worried? The car runs fine for now but is there something I should lookout for?

Its probably fine, might be worth pulling the wastegate and checking for any corrosion or anything.

Probably worth getting a cap for the dump for future washes too.

Been really thinking about a cap as I’m always worried when parking out in public. Where I live people messing with your car is a normal occurrence and I don’t want someone seeing the dump and throwing rocks in it or something LOL.

I mean if that is the case, it might be worth getting the dump re-fabbed and dumping it out the bottom of the bay lol

Go to Tractor supply, they have the flappers that they use on vertical pipe tractors. Get a rolling idle tune and you will have the same JD sound of a 1920's one cylinder and no water down the pipe.
