GReddy Type-S Blowoff Valve install

This if my first post here, so I'd just like to say hello. Thought I'd start it off with a good note: a blowoff valve. I wrote up a big long thread about it, and then when I went to send it somehow it got erased. So after much frustration and mumbling under my breath, I made one picture for the whole install. Sorry for 56K users, but it's the easiest way to do it. We installed a GReddy Type-S blowoff valve on my friends 03 Evo 8 today. I know he is around here somewhere, so if you read this Art - come in and say hi! Hope it helps...

I hope this helps to anyone who might be considering doing this install. It took about 30-40 minutes total, including a phonecall to Road/Race to check one thing, and looking for wrenches. Good luck!

Oops, posted in the wrong section! I posted it in the right section, so moderators if you could delete this post I'd appreciate it! I tried finding the option in the "edit" part but I couldn't (maybe it's just not there. ) Thanks!

Thanx for the writeup, I'll definitely need this in the future. Do you have any problems with that at all? I'm always hearing problems with aftermarket bov's.

Same here, I heard the HKS one is notorious for making the Evo stall.
I met with this guy last week who had a silver evo w/ greddy BOV and he told me it never caused his car to stall. He has 18,000 miles on his Evo.

Great, good luck! It's pretty easy when you're actually there looking at it.

As for problems, he has had no problems at all with it. No stalling during idle or anything. I've only really heard of people having stalling problems with BOV's vented to the atmosphere. If anything changes, I'll let you guys know.

Hm, I just got a flange off ebay, but it doesn't have a golden nozzle on it. Does that mean I can't recirculate it?

Very nice write up. Prehaps we can get this thread stickied as it is very helpful with nice clear photos.
