Best piston rings
In my opinion JUN are the best. You can pick them up at www.boost-solutions.com
Depends on your application / frequency of replacement, etc. Standard old ductile rings are ok for standard driving & seat good & quickly. They dont stand up to super abuse.
chromoly rings can take punishment better, but take longer to seat properly. Readily available.
moly filled rings are not that great IMO, vastly depending on vendor as the moly eventually falls out over time.
titanium nitrated rings take the most abuse, last a very long time & depending on how the liner / bore is honed, can take for ever to seat/seal.
You just have to ask yourself what your intent is, how often do I want to change these rings & do I mind using a little oil over time?
1 thin compression & low frictiion oil control ring is best for power.
look for the thinnest compression rings possible if overall power is your goal & dont mind replacing your rings in 5-10k miles. Your mileage will vary by application/abuse!
