Question Quick Q. Apex or HKS TT?

Which one is better.

I'm gonna go pick one up tomorrow. I'm for Apex Auto Timer, but how better is HKS type 1 than Apex?

Thanks.

I searched the world. Just specs after specs...

I love my Apexi TT, it sits right next to my lighting height controls and interior brightness. Well...its suppose to stay there, I cant seem to find sticky enough double sided tape that makes it stay there. Anyone know whats the stickiest of the icky?

But seriously, its a great TT. Looks sharp. I just need to find a product that will mount it permenantly without getting some crazyglue.

I'm not sure, but I believe you have to hardwire the Apexi while HKS can be installed with a harness.

I used the HKS harness with the Apexi TT. No issues at all.

I am biased as well, but I love my apexi timer. It does not need to be hard wired, I used a harness as well. It has some nice features like an a/f ratio, although it is not a current and consistent reading due to the fact that you splice into a narrowband signal, and my favorite feature is the self learning timer function. The timer actual senses, through signal input from the a/f I believe, to increase your countdown if needed based on how hard you drive the car. I mounted mine just above the steering column on the lower part of the instrument bezel. The sticky tape that was provided was more than adequate for the Texas heat that my Evo sees. Hope this helps, just my .02

Buy the expensive 3M double sided tape (gray and red). Clean the spot on your dash you're going to mount it to with some rubbing alchahol, peel, and stick. It shouldn't move after that :-)

Did you guys all wire the E brake wires to the E brake? when you use HKS wiring harness, does that automatically does the E brake function for the timer?

thanks.
