I really want to get this exhaust but I don't want to burn my bumper. Is anyone else having this problem?

Are you talking about the Greddy Ti? I would suggest you call Dan @ Godspeed and ask him. I know he has someone running his downpipe w/. cat delete and the Greddy Ti. I saw the blue evo that has this and it had black soot marks on the right side of the bumper. I remember asking if it was a burnt bumper but don't recall what he said. So far I have not had any problems with it...but I just have a cat back. You can get his contact info from

www.godspeedinc.com

Hope this helps

The videos I posted above show the rear bumper area and you can see it's fine. We are running with out a cat and autronic. but even with lots of fireball action and a LOT of track time, the bumper is not in the melting path.

So the muffler isn't touching the bumper or anywhere near touching? I'm not too worried about the soot as longs as it can't been seen from the back. Thanks for the info guys.

Out Daily Driver car was deemed to shiny and got moved to show and shine.. Didn't want to really embaress too many slow dirty race cars..

The bumper gets a small amount of soot, but no touching, melting, or anything.

do a search. There was another guy who posted his Greddy review the same time I did and he has pictures of the Greddy. The pipe is no where close to touching the bumper. If it does, you put it on wrong.

hope this helps

yes it does taper towards the cat. I did not measure it. But I believe that it shoud be 3 inch at the cat and 3.1 or sth (80mm) piping the rest of the way.

damn... it's a beautiful exhaust, just buy the heat shield and call it a day and enjoy one of the finest exhausts out there... it's not a crisis, it's $18, and if you bought the greddy, you should be able to afford the shield... lol...
