This is the whole point of this thread. In MOST areas of the country, running a new car without a cat is not emissions legal. Sure you'll get more power without a cat, or muffler... hell, you could run a pipe right out of the front of your car, but you certainly won't be passing any kind of emissions test.

This is the WORSE logic i've heard in a while. Just because NJ would be a sh_thole anyways, even without its own pollution, if, hypothetically, you shut everything in jersey down, there would STILL be less pollution overall by definition.

Further, for those whose goal or intent is to lower emissions your logic makes absolutely no sense at all, b/c baby steps forward is still progress. Your logic would get everyone nowhere if one's justification for NOT reducing pollution is b/c it wouldn't make that much of a difference. That said, i could care less about the environment, but your logic was just so, uh, "disabled" for lack of a better word.

I don't know what it means to be "quite" at cruise, but im assuming you mean quiet. Anyhow, Youre, uh . . . missing the issue. We're talking about using a hi-flo cat. . . if you're trying to compare to other sports cars, the only way it would relate to what we're talking about here is if you are trying to analogize to other sports cars that also run cat-less. But that connection is never made. What are you trying to say? the M3 is a sports car, the Vette is a sports car, are they loud? sure. BUT THEY HAVE CATS.

It takes away about 10 hp, lets not be dramatic. Show me a dyno chart that says 15-20 hp.

Last i checked, it wasn't legal to run Catless ANYWHERE.

i made my point above, but ok...following your logic, and taking it to its full extent . . . ANYTHING that causes a restriction shouldn't be labelled as a "performance item"?

Well sh_t, you better be running a straight pipe then, b/c guess what smart guy, the muffler is a restriction too. And yet, we have "performance exhausts" that include mufflers. Anything that IMPROVES the PERFORMANCE deserves to be called a performance item, almost by definition. A hi-flo cat that flows more than a stock one INCREASES performance, so why shouldn't it be called a performance item?

you go ahead and do that

Awesome comeback alex! Has to be a Socal guy...like myself. Yay Alexalex wins! We can all get our high flow cats now!

umiami, but thats the thing. i dont even like hi-flo cats. Im actually about to get a test pipe put on. Its just that what you said is so completely wrong that i had to answer. Getting a hi-flo cat isn't a worthless mod, despite the fact that it may make a tiny bit less horsepower than a test pipe.

interestingly enough, this is one point that Shiv and Al both agree to adamantly.

1st of all, your first mistake is actually believing that people CARE what you have to say, like your word is so important, get off your high Horse.

2nd, Cat no matter how High of a Flow, restricts power, argue with that.....So you wana spend more money for less power? (Compared to a test pipe)

Hell for you Caly guys just keep your stock exhaust and Get a Electronic Dump on the DP, best of both worlds.

If 15 HP is a tiny bit, then so be it. People Spend Hundreds to get that power and reduced spool time.

Oh, and By the way Guys, Just because you suck each other’s Dick's in the forums doesn't make you right, it makes you gay.

I stand by my statements, which are both correct factually and of course my opinions suit me FINE, I am happy with my Decision, but we must argue for the sake of hearing our selves speak, god damn Lawyers...

But I guess I can understand that Caly has the strictest emissions rules, and the worst gas and the high prices, man I would be pissed to.

But I am sure we will be hearing from little Alex again, I swear I bet this kid argues in his sleep, annoying, pervasive, argumentative, he will make a GREAT lawyer, that's is for sure.

Jesus Christ, what is it with you and Al, always resorting to cheap shots and meaningless insults once someone explains something and you can't find an intelligible answer.

****, when someone proves a point to me, and i don't have a good response to it, then they are right at least for the time being as long as their explanantion makes sense.

I'll make your life easier and stop this right here, lest you feel the need to call me homosexual again b/c i, uh, don't seem to think hi-flo cats are completely useless.

and ughhhh..Here is your cheap shot sir...

God, this isn't the first time we've disagreed on something, but you always insist on making yourself look worse than you need to. a bit sensitive are we? let me explain
Hypocritical....
I explained it twice to you, just because you do not believe in something does not make it false.

OH NO YOU WON'T, this is what you do, argue on the Internet, you pick a mark and you BIT.CH and BIT.CH. I have searched on you, you argue with any one for any reason, sad really. You have to prove your E-Dominance, you’re an Internet commando, and I guess you feel it fulfilling to argue on the net. You have to post, this is what you do, your trained to do so. But I seriously DOUBT you talk to people this way face to face, they may reach out and smack you, so keep hiding behind your computer screen and keep bit.ching .

So lets recap, you blurt out arrogance and disapproval, I disagree, you call names, and then you cut and run . Good job. The point is lost with you, you waste words, its not that you wana prove a point, you just have to argue and you have to be right, even if and when you are wrong.

Just can't control your self, can you? I thought you were done, where is your credibility? It’s not about "winning" Or "losing", well; it is to you, that’s what’s wrong with you. Keep talking, we know you have to post again .
