Do I need a Clutch??

When trying to start out in first gear it grinds loud, but then it enguages hard. all other gears enguage fine while driving, and their is no slipping..

If i need a new clutch, I'm looking at getting a ACT 2100 with Street disk as a replacement. let me know if you have any advice, thanks!

doesn't make any sounds wide open, only really when enguaging first. other gears you can't rear it because i more or less pop the clutch instead of feather it. i'll pass on the stock clutch, i'm ordering custom made brake rotors that are annoded black, and i was going to put on a act clutch while i have it on the lift, and pulling the rotors off to pull the tranny to put the clutch in. its not that i don't know how to do it, i just didn't know if their were some guides that told you what parts needed to be moved, having tips from someone that has done it helps a ton, instead of just pulling off more stuff then needed.
