Anyone blown a stock cat?

I started to hear this really loud rattling coming from what I though was a heat sheild or something from underneath that car. I took it to a bud of mine that has a muffler shop to check it out. Turns out a blew my cat.....
My mods are:
HKS intake
HKS 272/272 cams
Bushcur 2.5in downpipe
No muffler
boost controller
Street tuned dynoflash

I was curious if anyone else has had this problem? I guess I am going to order a Test pipe......anyone reccomend a good one to go with my setup, I dont want to get a check engine light. Would a 3in pipe be ok? Thanks

Not even a **** star could get their mouth around a cat to blow it!

But seriously, more likely that you have a broken weld somewhere. You had better check for yourself.

Yup

Me too! - Except it wasn't the stock cat

It took me a while to figure out it was the cat - thought it was the heatshield then other things. Anyway - I am waiting for my test pipe from Vishnu (hopefully early next week).

Your rattle wasn't constant was it?

You know what? I saw the title of this post and was gonna answer it in my own way...but you beat me to it. Good job! I was going to say something like" Sorry, I'm not into bestiality".
