Cooling idea for turbo

I know I am not the first guy to think of this so tell me why it is not a good idea.
Install a cooling duct or hood scoop that will directly slam air on the turbo.
You could even make waterspray for the turbo in addition to the intercooler waterspray.
Afterall the turbo is where the heat is produced.
The additional wind drag might be a factor but look at the HUGE scoop the Subaru uses.
I would think one half that size would suffice.

OK tell me why this idea is bad.

I wouldn't think that this would be bad, but maybe more like "not worth it"?

You already get plenty of air through the front of the car.

Couldn't the water spray potentially crack the turbo housing from cooling it off too fast?

I'm no expert though. Any "smart" people have any thoughts?

u want the turbo to be HOT so that exhaust gaasses can flow through. The reason the stis have a big hood scoop is because their intercoolers are right there
