hks ssqv grrrrrr......
ok, i installed the hks ssqv bov yet again, first time was VTA, and ofcourse i had the stalling issues, so i bought the recirc kit, and what do you know, the exact same stalling issues...now both ways i dont get the stalling while idle'd, i get it if i am either driving in first gear and come to halt quickly like in a parking lot or something, and i get it if i am parked and i rev it up past 4000 rpm's and let it come down, and most the time it wont stall but it drops to about 300 rpm's and then pops back up after a few seconds. Please help, i have no idea why its doing this, even being recirc'd....thanks
I have the same setup and problems. I wrote HKS directly and expect a response in a week or so.
I find it hard to believe such a high priced quality piece would cause so many problems, but it does.
Here is what I know:
-The HKS BOV flutter is normal.
-If you VTA and are still MAF, you will stall or bog.
-I adjusted the BOV from all the way tight to all the way loose with no change in the stalling issues. The only thing that changed was when the valve opened.
As I just mentioned, I wrote HKS and I plan to post my letter and their response on this forum soon.

yeah i also am running with it pretty open, and to be honest i was running better with it VTA then when i recirc'd it. So i changed it back last night, if i m gonna putter around, almost stalling sometimes at least im gonna sound good doing it.
why not just get that EIDS thing from HKS? also i'm looking at getting these SSQV's but i have the RRM turbo for an OZ.. i was wondering if the SSQV had a little tube that i can attach to the bung of my pipes.. becuz i cant use flanges or anything like that.. anyone got pictures from all angles of the SSQV?
