Why do people keep buying cheap tubular manifolds? The whole purpose of the ATP kit was to maintain the reliable factory cast manifold.

cold hard facts.

stainless manifolds crack. good ones will last a long time before cracking but the cheaper ones crack way sooner than you would like.

underhood temps skyrocket. it has been measured. cast manifold 170. tubular stainless 350.

The internet has still yet failed to produce one back to back dyno test to actually show that a tubular manifold is actually an improvement over a good cast peice.

Well most likly becouse it has a lifetime warranty. I have talked to them if it cracks you take a picture and they will next day air you a new one so you have no downtime. THe welds are awsome. The price is awsome, The customer service is great, the warranty is awsome, It is thicker then any other tubular manifold at 2.7mm. What else do you want?

I had these on my WRX and never had any problems. I bought them for $240 on Ebay. The headers added about 10 hp and increased spoolup by almost 200 or so rpm. This was all dyno measured, but I can't find the sheets. I sold them to a buddy back in December when I bought my EVO and he hasn't had any problems either. They are now about 1.5 years old and no cracks.

Just an update, they normally charge a 15% shipping fee, but I mentioned that the ebay add was promissing aprox $15 for shipping.... so they e-mailed me back saying shipping would be $10! So, I have a tubular manifold on they way to my door at an "out the door" price of $310

I'd ceramic coat them inside and out before wrapping them... if you think the construction is suspect, the last thing you want to do is induce a thermal overload from the outside in.

Yeah, this is what I'm planning on doing when I get the headers. My days of paying +$500 ($500 DC Type R headers, $900 Mugen headers) are over. I have a kid on the way and I still want to have fun with my car AND be able to buy some diapers.

Hey guys i have been runing mine for about a week now in 104 degree weather with no problems. i was going to wrap them but im not too sure about that. Think i might be pushing my luck unless i get them jet coated. Anyway i love them i dont think you can beat them for the price.

Looks like I'm getting one also... just couldn't beat the price. Funny thing is that I never had any intention of getting an exhaust manifold for my 10.5 Ti project... I was just going to get the OE extruded and ceramic coated. Oh well, impulse buys

I see that it has provisions for anti-lag. It seems they just blocked off where the lines would go into the manifold. Are the anti-lag bosses actually open INSIDE the runners? That would mean that cylinders 1&2 and 3&4 are not isolated from each other. Is that correct? Looking at the e-bay pictures it looks like the runners have NOT been cut for the anti-lag. Someone who has one of these chime in please...
