Bad Sounds

I have an 03' I bought new and broke-in properly. It has only 2900 miles but it is making a alot of noise. I took it to the Dealer and they say it is normal I don't remember the car being this noisy.

Are EVOs supposed to sound like the "Throw out Bearings" are shot (Rattle coming from the Clutch Area when not engaged) or, Wheel Bearings/ CV Joints making alot of racket?

Doesn't sound normal. Take it to another dealer.

I don't know about your "CV joints" but I don't think the stock flywheel has much dampening to it since it is relatively light from the factory. So for that to rattle a bit with the clutch out is not out of character for a flywheel of its weight. Does the EVO even have traditional CV joints?

Yeah, I hate to say it, but there are times my car sounds like your rattling a can of beans. I've never found anything wrong with the car after hearing these noises, and nothing has fallen off yet.. I can only conclude that there's normal noises. I am oversensitive to every noise, but like I've said, most of them have been there since the car was new. Best I can figure is a majority of the sounds are due to tight tolerances and things like heat shields rattling.
