Kartboy shifter bushings installed...

and yup, that was a waste of 35$ and time.

It's my fault, I thought they were a bushing for a mount or something. Basically, I was ordering other parts, and was like... ohhh bushings for 35$!

So, if you're thinking about getting them, don't bother.

Just my .02

Thanks for the heads-up man. I was about to purchase these. I'll just go ahead and get the short shifter.

I installed them and noticed an improvement over stock. The stock ones flexed to much. There is not a huge improvment over stock but there is one. You will like having them when you are racing around and your shifts are crisp

This is just my 2 cents. just trying to tell the other side of the story

We sell both sets at the shop. I think they are made by Speed Source or something though. The bushings that go onto the tranny linkages in the engine compartment and the base bushings for the shifter base. Alot of times on a new car like an Evo it wont be a huge improvement because the stock pieces are still nice and tight. But when you have a 13 yr old GVR4 like me, they can be night and day in some cases.

The ones that will really help are the bushing kits that replace the bushings in the shifter assembly itsself. Those things get so worn on older cars there are no bushings left to be found in some cases.

The Shift Linkages are a HUGE improvent, the eight under the shifter are not that big a deal but certainly help and will not get worse over time.

Get brass BTW, that is what I got.......

THis, I can certainly agree with. However, an evo 8 with 5k on the clock, it doesn't make much difference. But, at least I have a schnazzy green under the hood

sorry you feel this way, we do have the bushings for inside the cabin too. but like other have said. their not the fixall part for the car. their just that, bushings. The change will be like most aftermarket parts, jugemental. some think that their new superwhammy air filter gave them a ton more power. then some say it slowed the car down...

but you got to admit that color is kickass

the metal ones offer a very different feel, much stiffer and more precise... i don't know about poly tho.

Get the brass ones, I have them, night and day if you replace the shift linkages. IDK about the 8 in the shifter but I will do them soon enough.....
