Need advice from some tuners: How long...
As a tuner, how long would you like to take to tune the car. Assuming that money isn't an issue, would prefer to have the car for 4 hrs or 8? More? Less?
I guess what I'm wondering is, for a bit more money, is the added time worth it?

The added time is worth it.. Once the dyno tuning is done, its essential that it also be road tuned.. Its one thing to gain peak numbers, something completely different to get power an drivability. Personally, I've spent several weeks working on a particular tune (not every day, but several days over the period of a few weeks) for my car.
Understandably tuning a car is a compromise of time, experience, and needs.. You can make assumptions as you gain experience and cut down on the time significantly.
But I don't think a 1 hour session with a few tweaks, and a few pulls is going to provide the best drivability results.. If you want a good tuner to do a good job, you should expect to spend the day with him at least, and then drive the car for a few days to a few weeks, take notes about where and when you have issues, and go back to fine-tune it.
Let me add, if your combination of modifications is fairly common many tuners already have alot of experience with them, so tailoring the mods to your engines personality is going to go alot quicker, in those situations, an hour or two for the tune may be adequate.. But you should still take your notes and fine-tune later..

Considering taht EVERYTHING works:
S-AFC 1 hour
AEM EMS - 4-8 hours ( depends on the mods, really)

Tuners, how do you guys feel about people flying you out to other parts of the contry? What are you expectations?

I'm looking for 93 octane tune and 100 octane tune and possibly another.
It's going to start as a daily driver but also see some straight line racing. No road racing.
Basically what I'm looking for is a bulletproof 93 tune and a safe 100 octane tune.
On a EMS with 2 different maps it will be at least 8 hours to get it running really really well. The extra time is worth it as you will see better results all around. There is more than just full throttle tuning needed.
