breakin? please help me

i tried searching for break in techniques...and didnt find much useful info.

i have 300 miles on the car now and i drove it nice for the first 250 miles, with WOT in 3rd and 4th all the time to set the rings. I launched it for the first time today and i just want to make sure the clutch wouldnt get glazed over from launching it in first and slipping the clutch in the rest of the gears to keep turbo spooled and momentum.

i was testing it against a wrx which i say was very sucessful, and told me that he was running only 7psi, my car is stock, and had a car length on it. I am an old wrx owner so i new different for a fact.

well please post some useful info about breaking in and the clutch...

im putting an exhaust on tomorrow,....should i keep the car stock for a while just incase something happens to it? or will it be ok??

thanks

nick

The community is divided on how a car should be broken in .... some say 1000miles, some say 1500mile, some say more and some less ..... But I have a heard a few well respected tuners say it is always good to give the car a good breakin period .... the manual for the EVO says 800miles and keep the rpms under 5000 ..... I would follow atleast that ....
