Cusco Carbon Twin Plate Just Installed

I was wondering to those that have them... does it chatter loudly? Mine sure does. I was curious to see what other people that have them thought. I have had other twin-plates that have never chattered this badly.

Mine stopped chattering and now my car makes a strange clunk noise. Maybe it needs an adjustment.

Those are normal noises for aftermarket clutches on these cars.

It even chatters when you shift gears. Chattering is one thing, sounding like an F350 is another. Thanks for the responses guys.

Do you mean actual clutch chatter, or just noises?

Noise = sound only
Clutch Chatter = choppy/jerky clutch engagement that bucks your car

The choppy engagement I would attribute to me getting used to the new clutch, and yes Clutch Noise when shifting gears. Like I said in my first post. I have owned other cars with Twin-plate clutches, none have EVER been this loud.

Do you have the actual full carbon that is not sprung center ($2600.00). I have the ATS Dual carbon and it chatters all the time. Dont worry about it as long as it is working.

One thing too is that a full carbon clutch needs to be heated up to be smooth. The plates work better while there is some heat. ATS reccomends putting heat into the clutch before doing hard launches. So consider that as well.

Thanks IndyPhil. It's sprung. It's been getting a lot smoother as I add the miles to it. And it definately works better with heat. I have been slipping it and getting it warm before doing any kind of driving.

it will get better with more miles. you will need at least 5k before some of the noise goes away.
