2 ecu's for one car?

Is it possible to have 2 ecu to work with 1 car, to swap back and forth? I saw a thread about this but I cant seem to find it. BTW how much does a stock ecu go for?

I don't see why not. It's like switching from stock ecu to any other engine managemant. As long as it's tuned to the mods and gas you will be using.

This is essentially what the Xede and UTEC are. The stock ECU handles idle, AC idle boost, warmup, etc., and the piggy back handles air/fuel/timing/boost up top. To use two ECUs of the standard variety, you'd need a Y harness with all those wires to the ECU being switched in some way. Sounds like a lot of trouble to me.

I swapped ecu's before with another Evo and none of our cars starts :crap:
The reason im asking is because I live in asia and for me to send my ecu for a flash will take some time and also I drive my car everyday to work.

i believe the stock ECU has to be flashed so that the key transponder matches up with the ECU otherwise the immobilizer will prevent starting
